Baikal-Alaska: Ecosystem
Baikal-Alaska is a large-scale tourism and historical-geographical project. It grew from the idea of retracing the route of Siberian merchants and pioneers, connecting Lake Baikal, Siberia, the Russian Far East and Alaska, and transforming the accumulated experience into new journeys, public spaces, infrastructure and international ties.
Initial challenge
Create a modern tourism and historical-geographical project that helps reinterpret the development of eastern Russia, strengthens ties between regions and turns field experience into routes, infrastructure, events and travel products.
